About Us

Hi! I'm Ilona

I am so excited that you're here and I hope one day we can connect in person or online. :)

I started Mama's On The Rise as I got pregnant (little did we know it was going to be twins!) As I talked to mama's they told me about the hard, precious, joyful, scary and everything in between moments of motherhood. I soon realized why people kept saying it takes a village.

Going through my own journey I decided to shift my business to create an atmosphere where women could be themselves in any season and help each other fill their cup.

As our pregnancy went on we were faced with many challenges including being told to consider terminating our twins, one or both as they didn't see one of them surviving. Maybe one day I'll talk more in detail about it, but at this time I'm still healing.

As new parents and seeing them on our first ultrasound we couldn't give up on our little ones.

We did our research and I connected with other mama's who were going through something similar and had miracles happen and their kiddos were getting older and thriving.

Fortunately, we birthed our boys at 32 weeks (boy did they come in hot haha) and we got to meet them.

On the other side, we lost Ayden the next day on Christmas and Oakley was immediatley placed in the NICU.

I'm not sharing this for anyone to feel bad for us, but to share part of my personal experience.

I know it has been hard for me to talk about, but seeing other mama's talk about their motherhood experience during conception, pregnancy or the fourth trimester has helped me cope and open up to find ways to process it all.

As I've realized I am not alone even if it feels like it some days and I hope you know you are NOT alone throughout this motherhood journey either!
